Tai Chi: Needle at Sea Bottom - part of the women's fitness video series by GeoBeats.
Hello, my name is Tiffany Chen, I am from William C.C. Chen's Tai Chi Chuan. I will be doing Needle at Sea Bottom with you right now.
So begin by turning to your left, left leg in front, right leg behind. 80% of the weight in the left leg, 20% of the weight in the right leg. The left palm begins by brushing over the leg and the right hand extends out into a punch. From here I want you to lift up the right foot and step back down in the same spot with the right.
And now when the weight shifts back into the right leg, step back with the left, open up the fist of the right hand, touch the wrist of the right hand with the left fingers. At this position, I want you to relax and sink so your base is solid. And now I want that base to help energize and project the fingers down into Needle at Sea Bottom.
And now the right foot helps pull the upper body back up. You want to step back out with the left foot, shift, sink. And now bring the right hand to the temple and let the left hand extend out, and this completes the segment.
